SEATRADE CRUISE GLOBAL 2023: A RESILIENT AND INNOVATIVE INDUSTRY SHOWCASE
SeaTrade Cruise Global is always an exciting event, and this year was no exception. The 2023 edition was held in Fort Lauderdale, a change from its traditional venue in South Beach. As a cruise travel passionate, I was thrilled to be in attendance.
In just two days, I met an incredible number of cruise professionals in my network, from cruise liners, suppliers, destinations, and services. It was like reuniting with old friends, some of whom I've known for decades, even from my on-board career on cruise liners. The energy and enthusiasm for the industry were palpable, and it was inspiring to witness.
DE-CARBONIZATION OBJECTIVES
The industry's recovery was certainly encouraging, with strong booking and consumer demand. However, it was evident that the industry is still feeling the effects of the pandemic. Despite this, there was a renewed focus on sustainability, with cruise leaders seeking new fuel sources to achieve de-carbonization objectives. It was exciting to see that the industry is pushing for innovative solutions to ensure a better future.
The demand for cruise charters, themed cruises, and MICE was also a major topic of discussion for me, and it was great to see Bancosta Cruise supporting the cruise industry with such demand.
GREAT NETWORKING
As much as I enjoyed the event, my attendance was too short. There was so much to see, learn, and experience, and I wished I could have stayed longer. Nevertheless, the event was a fantastic opportunity for industry professionals to network, exchange ideas, and learn about the latest trends and innovations. It was exhilarating to witness the cruise industry coming back stronger and better than ever before.
In conclusion, SeaTrade Cruise Global 2023 in Fort Lauderdale was a huge success, showcasing the resilience and innovation of the cruise industry. I look forward to attending the next SeaTrade Cruise Global event and witnessing even more exciting innovations and sustainable practices from the cruise industry.
